Hey guys, I just noticed a nice little rock chip on the hood of my G8 I have a couple of others, but this most recent one really pissed me off. I ordered touch up paint from this web site: PaintScratch Touch-Up Paint (rs), Spray Cans, Spray Paint, Paint Pens, Car Paint, Automotive Paint It's on it's way right now. I was just wondering if any of you have used touch up paint on chips before and what your results were. The paint I ordered is the exact color (heron white aka white hot) so there shouldn't be a problem with color matching. Also, would any of you have a picture of the area that was repaired so I can see the results myself?

The touch up paint will only cover up. It doesn't fix the spot. BTW, this is a problem with most new cars from any brand because of new Federal requirements for paints.

no, it wont match, it will be lighter. i have white hot, and have the touch up too. but hey, its better than a black chip

This car is a chip magnet, they just keep \coming. The dealer looked at today and is going to take care of it plus a scratch they put on the roof unwrapping it.
