Bias Bass Mod!!
OK, kiddies!!!! I was on another message board and I had to share this with you guys. I'm not taking no credit for this. My personal thanks to a guy named vhato. There is a control gain knob on the amp beside the battery in the trunk. I suggest that you have your music on with a song with some serious bass so you can tweak your level out to keep the distortion out.
P.S.
Be careful not to break the plastic liner lip on the bottom of your trunk!!

I just did it today, turned it all the way up, sounds great now on all kinds of music. I thought this car had lousy bass especially since it had subwoofers, now I know why. Incidentally that's not a bias control, it's just a volume control for the subwoofer amp.

This may be silly, but is there any adverse rattleing in the sound?
i know my SS has a 200 watt amp and at med- high volumes with mild bass, it sounds nothing short of horrible. And its been back to the dealer 2 or 3 times for this issue. Not that its not an easy fix to correct, im just curious if there is enough sound dampening.

I have heard a little rattling in it and certain really low loud bass notes will distort it but on the whole I can turn it so loud that it's deafening after a while and I've played in loud bands all my life. It sounds pretty good to me. Soem one in another G8 forum put some kind of damping material under the back shelf where the woofers are and he said it cut out all vibrations. He used Dynamat Extreme whatever that is.
