Default Pro Pack -I'm too angry!

O.K. now I am so pissed. Damn car dealers lol. And yes I work for a dealership but not much longer... O.k. so do you even need the pro pack on a G8? I thought all new cars had anti-rust etc. So since GM announced employee pricing would go to 08 and 09 G8 Gt's too they had to come up with a way to scam the consumer. I'm so pissed I was the only one who objected lol. They added pro pack and gosh awful tint to every single g8 gt and fugly wheels to up the prices and make more since the g8 are employee pricing. You don't need that pro pack and if you wanted it you could get it cheaper elsewhere-but do you NEED it???????

If you mean a rust protection package the owners manual actually recommends not getting any after market protection.

The car is made with galvanized steel panels that resist corrosion.

I KNOW lol that is why I am so mad. I like to have honor in the things I do and the work I do and I think that is AWFUL because A-you don't need it and B: it's stoopid lol to charge someone for something they don't need.

Gm will mail you a dealer evaluation form concerning your new car purchase. I would put your complaint in that. It's like the dealer's report card. The dealers with the lowest score get penalized in certain ways by GM.

The dealers do care about their score very much.

Unless of course it's the dealer where you work..that might not be a good idea.

I've had several new cars over the years...and i can't ever recall getting any kind of "protection" scotch guard...rust protection and whatever else is all BS....in my opinion, lol.

But of course, i never kept the car long enough to see if the factory rust protection ever lasted....

Water under the bridge, but you should have had them get you one without from another dealer or bought somewhere else. Sounds like you bought what they had as opposed to what you wanted. There are way to many dealers and sales are way to bad for the dealers top be pulling S--- like this.
