In the market for the GXP G8. I wonder what are you current G8-ers are doing about the shortened rearward measurement of the front passenger seat. A noticeable 3-4 inches in difference compared to the drivers seat. What is the cure (as this serves as just another example of poor designs that cheapens this car) to get the seat to go back further?

This one baffled me too. I don't know why they did this. The dealer said it may have been because of air bag requirements. Very odd.

Thanks for the info. This was on my list to bring up at the next visit to the dealer! I assumed some "stop" was incorrectly set preventing the seat from moving back to a position similar to the drivers seat.

Anyone else found a fix for this?

i also noticed this. When you sit in the passenger seat (with seat all the way back) and open the glove box, its almost in your lap. Poor design. If you look at the track, it looks as though it could be moved back more, but stops at a certain distance. Driver seat goes back much further. I asked the dealer and there was nothing that could be done.
