For G8 owners that have loaded the back seat with kids
My question is how many car seats can you comfortably fit in the back seat of one of these? I currently own a Trailblazer and my two young ones fit just fine. My wife is expecting a third and I've been in a G8 and have seen that it has the 3 positions for the child car seats, but can you really fit 3 normal sized car seats in there? I'm patiently waiting for the GXP and since I traded in my '99 Camaro SS with T-56 for the Trailblazer. I know I'll be more than happy with the GXP. Thanks

I have three kids and two of them use booster seats. It works fine, but buckling up with the car boosters in the way is a bit of a challenge for them sometimes.
Are these three full blown 5 point car seats or car booster seats? In any event, I would say yes, but I would recommend seat belt extenders if you are using car booster.
Not many other cars are as roomy in the back, width and leg room wise. If it's a deal breaker, you should try it would on the G8 a dealer has in stock.

Well right now it's two full blown car seats with the 5 point harness and the new born would be in the carrier type, that I could just install the base pemanently in the car, but that would only be for a year. Thanks alot for the info. Hopedully someone else will find it useful also.

You actually may want to check local laws, I have seen somewhere that placing 3 carseats in one vehicle on the same seat (bench) is not permitted.
Anyhow, placing 3 seats in any car full size sedan or not will be a streach. Most car seats are wider then a full size adults hips so the seats would probably rub on each other, if a child places their hands inbetween the seats and the seats smash together be prepared for alot of crying and an unexpected stop. My wife has an 07 Tahoe, we have 1 not yet 2 year old and one on the way, if we had a third I am really glad we got the third row seat in the Tahoe.

I've recently been blessed with some newborns, plus one in a regular car seat and one in a booster.
Width wise you can squeeze the seats together ok.
Two minor problems though...
If you have a booster on one of the ends, the way the seat kinda rises near the door makes the booster slide a little back toward the center. Normally not a big deal, but it can make it a little tough for my girl to find the seatbelt receptacle between the middle seat and under her booster.
Only other thing that can be a problem is because I am tall and need the driver seat pushed way back. The rear facing newborn seats tend to be quite long, so don't try and put it behind the driver side if you are tall.

Am I the only one that cannot find the lower tethers for the LATCH system? I easily found the two metal hooks for the center position, but cannot find them for either side. Am I missing something here?

If you mean the two lower clips, they are between the seat and back cushion.
If you look at the seats, you'll see they are actually marked and you can pull them up and open (it is sealed by velcro).
