Default Problems Already!!!!!

I bought one of the first 888's and already am having an electrical problem. About 20 percent of the time I start the car, the center console does not work at all! No lights, no screen, no nothing! The dealer said he has no idea what is going on. Another is check it out tomorow. I doubt any one else is having this problem. Anyone??

Well, normally I would tell you that the night panel lights were turned off. But, since you said it's only doing it 20% of the time I don't think that's it.

Just to rule it out. When it happens next time press and hold both of the buttons above the headlight knob.

Maybe the dealer didn't do all of the necessary preps stuff to the car. I have heard of that a couple times on the forums.

Good luck with it and keep us informed.

Definitely keep us informed, and good luck! Hopefully, it will be something simple.

So, the dealer was going to take the car today and check it out, but Englishtown is having a test and tune, and I have been waiting way too long to make a pass with this thing.

All day yesterday and this morning, I have been turning the key to the unlock position and letting it run its "system check" before starting the car, and so far so good. I'll do that until I have a problem and then go yell at the dealer.

Also, the last 3 numbers in the Vin are 756 and that "night driving" mode is about as tits as it gets. Very cool stuff. Unless we get some rain tonight, which shouldn't be the case, I should have some numbers and possibly videos for ya tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on the electrical problem.
