Haven't bought a G8, yet, but wanted to give a heads-up for anyone in Phoenix looking. Midway Pontiac/GM has G8s in stock but they are over-charging by $6,000 on each model. $36k and $39K for the base and GT, respectively. I haven't checked other Phoenix dealers, yet.

This is the second thread I have read about this. That's absolutely unreal to me.

But, you know what. Most won't pay it but some sucker will. Just the way it works. LOL

I bought my 08 PhantomBlack GT from Peoria Pontiac GMC. I paid sticker with no markup for it. I am stationed at Luke AFB and so far, I have not seen another G8 on the road here, but then again, I haven't really been looking for others either.

I bought my IOM GT at Cardinale Way in Scottsdale. They had on the sticker over $1000 in desert protection, $300 for clear edge guards, $300 for tint, $59 for Nitrogen in tires, and $5000 market adjustment.

I bought it at sticker, and I paid for the tint. I also got $1000 off for a competitive brand upgrade (traded in my Dodge Magnum)

Go see O Jay in Fleet, great to work with.

I found 2 others on the phone in area who would do sticker as well.

I think the first few people who had to have the car paid the markup. There are enough out there now that only someone who doesn't know any better would pay it.

DL

Wait a few more months, as gas goes up and spending goes down, GM will be throwing incentives for the 08's that are sitting on dealer lots, just like they did in late 05 on the GTO's

Well I know I'm a little further south in Tucson, but I went to the Quebedeaux Pontiac dealer. I looked at their prices and they were pretty much what you get when you build your own on the Pontiac website. The only car that was marked up a bit was a '09 G8 GT with the blue paint. It was gorgeous. They also had what they call their Q packagege it was a white GT and they painted the hood scoops and hood scoop area flat black, and they put a little bit of that flat on top of the rear spoiler. On the interior they had it all black and did white stiching on the seats along with a GT logo on the headrest. They also put 20" black rims. That car was 5K more expensinve but very nice. They also had an intake and exhaust but i didn't care much for that.

Did you use your GM Military Discount for your car or did you get it before the discount came out?

I know this thread is a little old, but Cardinale Way in Scottsdale has 9 GT's and 4 6's. The have 2 of the maroon, which I had not seen before. Man, I like it! Also, one of the killer blue. I think 8 2008's and 5 2009's.

They are not moving anything, and said they would deal on the 08's.
