Default Tip: Engineering Mode

Hey guys,

Next time you get into your G8 give this a try. Hold down the enter key while cranking. You'll enter engineering mode where you can see a couple of cool things

Kudos
Alvin

For those of us who don't have a G8, can you detail those things?

Wow that gives you so much more information on the car. I didn't know they would give you all that information about the cars systems

gal/hr
gear your in
Gal of fuel left
Voltage
tranny temp
and a whole bunch more

But the way you don't have to crank it up you just hold down enter and turn the key to on.

I don't have my G8 yet but am going to Dad's dealership Friday to see his 888 GT. How do you get it out of Engineering mode? Just shut the key off? I want to try it.

If it's anything like the other vehicles I've had it should just reset itself when the car is turned off. I am too lazy to go into the garage right now and check. LOL sorry

Just hit the DIC button on the steering wheel and it goes back to normal mode from engineering mode. You can drive with it in engineering mode.

It also has % of charge of battery various fluid temperatures, etc.

If it is like the GTO, you don't have to crank it, just turn the key to on and hold the button.
