Gas Mileage hows yours?

I have been taking it easy for a few, but I goosed up on the gas today and I swear in a few miles I lost a 1/4 tank. I found if you run it easy it will perform like a 4 cylinder, but I will do bad things bad things when you want it to.

That's becasue when running it easy it IS a 4 cylinder. What we want to see is actual numbers you achieve overall over at least 500 miles of all sorts of driving.

Default gas mileage

I have put 2 tanks full through my G8TGT. First one came in at 20mpg and the second was 21mpg. I was driving pretty easy breaking it in. One 110 mile stretch of freeway the computer said 25mpg. I am amazed these didn't come Factory filled with Mobil 1.

Anybody need a good used Trailblazer SS ?

Did you calculate it at the pump? Or use the DIC? Not saying that the DIC isn't accurate... but confirmation is usually nice.

I have had my Berlina for 14 months and it has done 27000 kilometres.
It has a K&N filter, Pacemaker short tube headers, opened cats and a 2.7 inch X-Force dual exhaust. I use 95 RON premium, although it will run just fine on 91 RON regular.
I do mainly 50/50 city/hwy driving. I get an easy 550km per 3/4 of a tank (I do not let it get below 1/4 of a tank).
On hwy trips it will easily get 700km+ per tank (which is 10 litres per 100km or better), that is with a/c on and 3 passengers. Yes it does cop the odd squirt of 150kph+!
When the engine was new, it would use about 12.5 lph km. Once it got about 10000km onboard it improved.
I use Mobil 1 0W-30 oil.

I just filled up today and registered 17.1MPG. I'm happy especially with as hard as we are driving it.

Our first tank on our G8/GT we got 21.5 mpg. That was mostly interstate, with over 1 hour of stop and go traffic. Typical speed on the interstate was 75/80.

On the return trip of that trip the mpg gauge was registration 23.3 with the average speed between 75/85. Haven't filled up yet to verify the gauge reading.
