Default First member post in the new forum!!

I like the addition of the regional forums.

I currently have an 04 Pulse Red GTO A4. We leased it in Dec '03 for 3 years. My buyout price was $18k and since they are going for that or more we decided to buy out the lease. In fact USAA (who we got the loan from) was able to offer up to $24k since that is what they list as the market price. It sure pissed off the dealer since he had plans on buying it and reselling it for a few grand in profit.

We love the car but have the same dislike as other, a small trunk. We have to take the 98 Regal GS if we are going to the grocery store or any place that we need to haul stuff.

We are waiting to see the G8GT in person once they become more available. The wife loves the idea of more trunk room and 4 doors. She is also in love with the style of it. I have an orange one as my PC wallpaper and when she saw it she said she wants it. (now I know why I have been with her for 30 years!!)

I can see us in a white one or the orange one within the next few months.

Anyway, hello all. I'm sure some of you will recognize my screen name since I have had if for 7 years.

I'm in Glassboro NJ (10 miles east of exit 2 on the NJ Turnpike).

See you at Atco this summer!!

Matt Sr.

Hi, Matt. Farthest away in PA I can be from you Jersey Boys (up along the lake). My wife's ride is a 2003 Grand Prix GTP, supercharged, 4 door with a very large trunk. Second one of these as we had the first 97 GTP in town as well. She likes the looks of the new Honda Accord, but it's got a trunk as small as a G6 plus we'll need space for 3 car seats for the grandkids. And she doesn't want a crossover or SUV. I've also heard recently that the Accords don't get as good mileage as the test results say. At least that's my story - and I'm sticking to it.

I heard that about the Accords as well.
Over the past 30 years of knowing my wife I have been successful in brainwashing her. She will not drive another car unless it has a V8 and RWD! She doesn't mind driving the GS because it does have some decent power for that type of car, but it is not "loud enough" and is FWD.

Her first car was a 1973 340 Duster that was immaculate. That was the 3rd thing I liked about her. The first 2 being her 36Ds and huge blue eyes.

She asked last night if the G8GT has a stick. I told her that won't be available till late in the year or early next year. She said she might want to wait till then. She misses rowing through the gears I guess. She always loved driving my 75 Datsun 280Z.

I found a black G8GT at a nearby dealer so we might take a look at it just to get feel for it. I'll let her make the decision because she is the one that puts the miles on it, I work from home. Either way she goes I'll still be a happy man!!

Default Wife picks the car!

You are one lucky man!

I'm trying to convince my Mrs. that we need this car.

Sooner or later I will give up the "we" selling ploy and will change it to "I".

I do need this G8GT!

I haven't been this dreamy about a car since my first new car!

It was a Mitsubishi Galant 2000!

All you have to do is take her to the dealer to see it in person, she will fall in love with it, guaranteed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's some pics of my new G8 GT. I actually got it less than a week ago, but I've been driving it so damn much, I kept forgetting to take pictures of it. I actually brought my camera to the dealership I picked it up at so I could snap a shot.

Very nice! The red is very sharp.

Sunroofs are hard to find in my area (MA). I found mine yesterday and chould pick it up later this week. I can hardly wait! I went for the Magnetic Gray Metallic and the "Sport" option.
