When the VE launched in July 2006 here in Australia the publicity blurb stated that it was engineered from the ground up to compete with BMW for handling and Audi for styling so it's no surprise that it comes across as German in character.

Sweet. I really like this car because it has a lot of power & handling, EXCELLENT STYLING, and is affordable. I drive a '96 Cadillac STS which is loaded with style and has plenty of power, but it's more expensive to take care of and I'd like something like this that's designed to run hard, and looks good!
