Get ready folks, I think we're about to see the GXP!
Don't really care about the ST.
And my money goes on a Solstice Hardtop, G6 Alpha, or the rumored 9-1 rebadge; can't decide. Dunno, but I'm lovin it.

Oops, I meant ST
I was thinking about how eager to see the GXP I was, and how uneager to see the ST I was, and the excitement half took over my brain and made me put GXP by mistake hehe.....

Could be the GXP but.. you really never know.
However, I can see the announcement possibly hurting GT sales.

Why? I already see a mixture of people that have already said they aren't waiting. And many car sales are spot sales.

True. But the ones that can't wait will get an 08. Others will wait and get an 09. The GXP will be more profitable for GM, so they would welcome the dip in GT sales. Probably pick off some conquest sales too. I'm thinking the SRT8 guys are gonna be even more worked up.

All I know for sure is that is talks about vehicles from Australia. Lets hope for both. OK, I'm not that daft. If I was GM, I would bring the ST. Better press.

I'm pretty sure they already are. Remember, there are 3 world premieres at NY, not just one.

Guaranteed appearances are:
G8 ST
Solstice Targa Hardtop
Conjecture on the third Pontiac runs the gamut from the G8 GXP all the way down to G5 GXP, with wishful longings for a version of Coupe 60 tossed in for good measure.

Hope the joke isn't on you, then. The new edition Cobalt SS was famously received at its world premiere and it wasn't a joke. The only joke is if the G5 continues to lack the top engine offered in the Cobalt. This is tantamount to a Firebird only coming with V6 and 5 speed while a Camaro gets V8 and 6. (not that there will ever be another F-bird)

I'm not so sure. GM was pretty clear they were never going to bring back the Camaro nameplate, and if i'm not mistaken....

Well, Holden already said that the Manaro will depend on exports. So maybe there will be a G8 Coupe before a G8 GXP?
hehe, both.... That would be a one two punch for Pontiac!
