I'd appreciate the scan - that is the one Monthly that I do NOT subscribe to....

Thanks!

I don't subscribe to Automobile magazine either. But that same insert was in either Motor Trend or Car and Driver for the issue I just got in the mail. I don't remember which magazine it was......

It was nice though. They had an exterior shot of a dark grey GT (fold-out).
Does anyone know if that spoiler that they showed is going to be an option?

I finally had a few minutes to peruse the actual multi-page magazine spread last night at home.

I had previously posted this in another thread: “Well – in looking at the pictures of the red G8 GT, the one thing that I found most disturbing . . . is seeing the console shifter & the ‘manumatic’ layout.

“+” upshift is back and “-“ downshift is forward.

Like BMW – but the opposite of all the other sport sedans I have driven with this feature . . .

Odd & annoying – to me.”

But now I see ( in this black G8, that I presume to be more nearly production form ) that the + \ - has been reversed. + is now forward and – is back.

So ( obviously ) they heard my concern – and changed the car to suit me.

( LOL )

Anyway – I am glad to see that. After close to 100,000 miles driving manumatic trans. sedans that work that way ( and about 30 miles of driving BMW 335s that work the reverse ) I would ** MUCH ** prefer this method.

Thanks, Pontiac!

- Ray
Growing a bit impatient to drive one now . . .

Damn, my other car is a BMW and the +/- gets me messed up.
Guess I better get a manual.

FYI - I have subscription to C&D. No add insert

If the BMW version gets you "messed up", then it seems to me that the G8 implementation ought to work just fine, for you!

Or - you could wait for the manual....
- Ray
Waiting - for the automatic !!!!!
