Default Holden's Build Quality

I don't know much about Holden and am trying to get a feel of their build quality. I haven't heard too many bad things about the GTO's fit and finish but what about Commodore VE (ie G8 GT).

Are they producing decent quality cars at the Elizabeth plant? What about quality of the finish? GM can't seem to paint a car without orange peel (especially black). Is Holden any better?

Does their fit and finish hold up over time? (any annoyances like squeaks, rattles, etc)

See what Commodore owners are saying about their cars. No issues with my GTO whatsoever, it is wonderfully made and finished.

Alot of GTO owners have complaints about their paint. Bad rock and stone chips on the front bumper and hood(clear-bra is a good idea) and paint flaking off of the door handles seems to be the norm. Plus there was an issue with early '06 models and moisture getting trapped under the paint creating blotchy spots b/c of the white plastic that is placed on them during shipping. Other than that the build quality seems to be better than anything else being built by GM in the US today.

i dont own a gto or any other holden product, but ive sat in many and drove a few gto's and the build quality is superb, like pmd g8 said, much better than any other gm offering here in the states.
