Thanks a lot for scanning and posting that!
I wonder how Stig would feel with ~40 less HP?
Still, sounds like the car is awesome and 40HP is easy to make up.

thanks ! , was a nice read , 40hp deficit is easy to catch up and then some , that one does have bigger brakes than the g8 though.

Thanks for posting! I enjoyed the article.
Btw, according to "Automobile" (Oct 07 issue, pg 102):
"...while the G8 GT will be powered by a 6.0 liter OHN V-8 sending at least 360 hp through a six-speed automatic. Engineers concede that the V-8 could be tuned for more power, and a hotter version of the G8 GT - possibly with as much as 450 hp - is likely for later in the model cycle. At that time, Pontiac might also offer a six-speed manual for the V-8." Well, I surely hope the media is wrong and we will get a 6 speed much sooner than "later in the model cycle". But if this article is correct, we will essentially get the Pontiac version of said vehicle in above article

So if this is essentially an exported HSV Clubsport R8, and there are those images floating around of a Clubsport R8 in Michigan a few months back : Pontiac G8 GXP research? HSV Clubsport R8 spotted in Troy, MI - Autoblog - then I've got my fingers crossed for the G8 GXP hopefully being the same car...

i would bet that by the time they unveil the GXP it would be the LS3 (6.2) the engine debuts in the corvette now and may be in the 09 camaro
