-New- Black pics from 2008 Pontiac Catalog
Here are scans from the 2008 Pontiac Line Catalog, pages 2 and 3 show this Panther Black Metallic G8 GT with the 19" wheels and the small spoiler. Note the GM badge in front of the driver’s door at the bottom of the fender.
Also to note is that the center caps are silver, not black as in the Holden version of the wheels, and they appear to have a high gloss finish (maybe they are polished vs. painted aluminum?)
I am liking it more and more, the photo really captures the look of the car I remember in person!
Out of the 112 pages, this is all there was on the G8.

Almost forgot, HP rating is 355+, slightly lower than the 363 or so indicated in previous documents. But things can change.

0-60 = low 5s
Thanks for scanning & posting.
“0-60 in the low 5s”
Hmmmm. . .
Looking at some other sedans with similar weight & HP and also recording “low 5s”, I see quarter mile numbers in the high 13s at 103 \ 104.
If independent testing confirms that to be true, with the automatic trans. ( no mention of the manual in the text ) I will be impressed – and the G8 V8 will be on my “short list”.

Still waiting for additional input . . .

Blame it on the binding of over 100 pages, and trying to get it as flat as possible on the scanner, sorry about that, but other than cutting the book apart, that is the best I can do.
speedworxs - As for the vent behind the front wheel, that was always there, but in that shot, the side marker lens looks more pronounced.

The drop from 362 to 355+ is probably due to final tuning and the SAE testing system. They probably don't know exactly what the official SAE number will be yet so they're covering themselves.

The side vents in the front guard ("fender" = "guard" in Aussie vernacular ) as shown in the G8 picture are standard across the whole range (including the new utes) and it looks great when you see it up close and personal.
