New Members?
I saw that you don't want too many forums, but do you think you might add a new members/introduction forum? It'll give us all a bit of insight as to who we are corresponding with.

I'm Ryan.
I live in South Florida, USA.
I work in the IT/Insurance industry.
I'm planning on purchasing a G8 GT with the 6 speed manual with red exterior and red interior(if available in US) with all the options.
I will not be the first to buy one because I refuse to pay a 'market adjustment'...so I probably won't own one until after February or March.

Well, I guess it's about time to introduce myself as well.
I'm currently located in Oklahoma City, OK.
I'm in the USAF working at Tinker AFB, and like all of you that have responded so far, I'm also an IT guy.
Current vehicles are 2002 Grand Am GT1 and a 2003 Grand Am GT.
I would like to get a G8, black exterior, but I am unsure of what interior colors I would like just yet.

Hi Guys
I am looking to buy a G8GT also, will wait until I can buy slightly under list,
whenever that is. I have been waiting for a American high performace RWD sedan for ever it seems, G8GT seems almost perfect, with add ons and a good tuner, I expect to see 400+ RWHP shortly afer I buy, hope the 6speed auto and independent rear can stand it.
Anybody heard about how the new 6speed auto hold up to more hp???
Is it the exact one in the Vette??

PS. Sourmash, if the auto trans you guys are getting is the 6L80 then it's the same as the vette's. The ones we got in the auto's are 4L60's -_-'

I'm not sure that an introductions forum is all that it's cracked up to be. I have one on my larger site and it doesn't get used very much.
Here's a little about me:
My name is Nick. I do network support for Louisiana State Police.
Current vehicles are an '01 Formula and an '01 1/2 ton Silverado.

Get Shorty,
An intro forum is just that... it wouldn't get much use until a newb comes in. But having one gives a convenient place for posts like this and keeps them from being spread all throughout the other forums. Besides, it's a little nicer to be able to know something about other users, and not have to make assumptions. And I'm sure as member numbers grow once the G8 hits dealers, there will be an influx of people seeking knowledge on the vehicle. Other forums I am part of have become online communities where people interact socially as if they had known each other for years. And there's always someone who is brand new to the internet forum scene and it's kind of nice to make them feel welcome. But it's totally up to you that run the site.

I'll start it off
Alright, since this forum showed up most likely as a result of my post in "Left Lane", I'll start it off.
My name is Quinton, if you couldn't tell. I'm 31, Active Duty Air Force stationed at Tinker AFB in OKC, OK. I have a wife and two children, 10 years old and 6 months old. Besides my family, I love cars. Our household currently has two Pontiac Grand Ams... an '02 GT1 and an '03 GT. The '02 seems to be an old lady magnet since I've been t-boned and sideswiped in the course of a month by two separate old ladies (both of which were the fault of the inattentiveness of the ladies).
I'm looking forward to getting a new G8GT when they come out mainly because I really like its looks, performance potential, and it's about time for an upgrade. (after working on the '02's LIM gasket, HVAC resistor, and foglights, 'tis time)
Later,
Q~

Good way to get my post count up so...
I'm Geoff, from Niagara County NY. Never been to much of a new American market fan, love the muscle cars, nova's are a favorite.
I currently drive a '02 VW GTi (118000+ miles), and my wife said I have to get a 4 door family car. So after ruling out a new Audi I got the approval for a G8 GT. I can't wait until they come out.

I'm Harry, live near San Antonio, Texas; am retired from the Chemical Industry, love cars and trucks. Wife and I have two grown sons, one works in Houston, the other is in the USMC. I have owned a '68 Firebird 400, a '70 GTO, '76 Ventura (the most underpowered car I have ever owned), and a '79 Bonneville, which was our last Pontiac. Currently have a 2000 Intrepid and Chevy Truck. Looking forward to the G-8 but I get the erie feeling I won't see one until April or May; maybe not even then.

My name's Jeremie, I live on the Big Island of Hawaii and I'm a police officer. Hopefully, one of these G8GTs ends up being my police car. Currently tooling around in an Accord. I wish I still had my Camaro or one of my Firebirds but more kids = more doors so... When I'm not beating on the Honda, I'm wandering all over the road in my '02 Tahoe (suppose I should get that drag link and idler arm looked at). Anyways, good to meet you all.

G'day guys
I'm Dave from Hobart, that's the capital city of Tasmania, little Aussie island state hanging below the south east corner of big island known as "Down-Under" and the home of Taz the Tassie devil of cartoon fame. I'm just an old (mid 50's) petrol head who's been a GM fan since I was a kid, when my Dad worked for the local Holden dealership.
I used to drive a hot Monaro GTS back in my wilder days. I'm now retired and have lots of time to waste cruising the car sites on the net. Currently my garage holds a 3 series BMW and an Audi A4 V6. Apart from being a long time GM fan my other link to this forum is that my nephew currently owns a sweet sounding silver Commodore SSV (appropriately nicknamed "the Beastie").

Hello All,
My name is Tom. I am with a PBG dealer in Central PA. I fell in love with the G8 when I first saw the concepts. I will get one when we finally honor employee pricing on them. I am going to the official training in the end of March. I will let you all know how it feels.
